Chambers are in Malad West, and enquiries come from across Mumbai. These pages set out what the work usually involves in each area, where the matter is actually heard or decided, and how to arrange a consultation.

Western suburbs

  • Malad — where the chambers are: trusts and societies in Malwani and Malad West, GST, criminal, civil and family matters.
  • Goregaon — the City Civil and Sessions Court at Dindoshi, older education and medical trusts, and the studio-economy small business side.
  • Kandivali — community institutions across Charkop, Thakur Village and Poisar, new trust formation, and trader GST work.
  • Borivali — matters before the Metropolitan Magistrate at Borivali, long-established institutions, and documentation work.
  • Andheri — working NGOs and CSR funding, leases of trust property, and commercial notices.
  • Jogeshwari — small welfare trusts, Gazette name changes, and matters affecting women.
  • Vile Parle — long-established educational and charitable institutions, old files, and Section 36 property questions.

Eastern suburbs

Public trust matters for the whole of Greater Mumbai are dealt with at the office of the Charity Commissioner at Worli, and NGO DARPAN, GST and income tax applications are made online. For registration and compliance work, therefore, which suburb an organisation sits in makes very little difference to how the matter runs.

  • Kurla — welfare trusts and educational societies, trader GST work, and commercial notices.
  • Ghatkopar — community trusts and societies, change reports, property sanction and funding registrations.
  • Chembur — educational and welfare institutions, new trust and society formation, and CSR funding.

Where an enquiry from the eastern suburbs concerns litigation to be conducted there, a frank view is given at the first conversation about whether it is better handled by an advocate practising at that court.

Thane district

Trusts in Thane district are registered with the Charity Commissioner’s office at Thane, not Worli.

  • Mumbra — mosque, madrasa and welfare trusts; waqf or trust questions.
  • Bhiwandi — older community and religious trusts, trust property.
  • Kalyan — temple and mandal trusts, festival permissions, housing societies.
  • Mira Road — trusts of many communities; Thane office, own court since 2025.

Consultations

Consultations are held at chambers at 704 Classic Building, Gate No. 8, Malwani MHADA, Malad (West), Mumbai 400095, by appointment. For registration and compliance matters a first discussion can usually be held by telephone or WhatsApp, with documents sent electronically. Telephone or message +91 99301 50560, or use the contact page.
