How the commissions are divided
| Value of goods or services paid | Commission |
|---|---|
| Up to Rs 50 lakh | District Commission |
| Above Rs 50 lakh up to Rs 2 crore | State Commission |
| Above Rs 2 crore | National Commission |
These limits were set by the Consumer Protection (Jurisdiction of the District Commission, the State Commission and the National Commission) Rules, 2021. Complaints can be filed online on the e-Jagriti portal.
